Gary M. Renfro is a native of Houston, Texas.  After graduating from Forest Brook High School, he attended Prairie View A&M University, where he received his Bachelor's degree in Architecture/Engineering. He attended the Austin Baptist Theological Seminary, where he received an Associate degree in Pastoral Ministries.  He also received a Certificate of Completion of Proclaimers Place from Georgetown College andthe Marshall Center for Christian Ministry and a Certification in Expository Preaching from E.K. Bailey Ministries, Inc.

After working several years for State Farm Insurance in the Austin Operation Center, Gary decided to open his own State Farm agency. He continues the successful operation of this business today. His professionl achievements and accomplishments include:  State Farm Bronze Tablet and Silver Scroll  Qualifier, Ambassadors for Life Qualifier and National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors.

Gary Renfro has also served in many civic capacities including his work as a Children’s Haven Board Member, as a former Board Member and President of the Arc of the Capital Area, and as President of the Central Sub District for the St. John Association, to name a few.

Happily married to his wife, Vivian, he is the extremely proud of their children, David and twins, Rachel and Rebekah. The Renfros currently reside in Austin, Texas.

For more than nine years Gary has pastored at Corinth Missionary Baptist Church in Austin, Texas.  He has been a great asset to the CMBC family.  Corinth Missionary Baptist Church is a “a place where individuals and families can experience God.”
